Position: Showroom & Warehouse Coordinator

Role Type: Full Time

Reports to Warehouse Manager

Location: 215 W Chicago Ave. IL 60654

Pay Rate: $25 - $28/hr


The Showroom & Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining Lightology's showroom display inventory, ensuring all display fixtures, components, and materials are accurately tracked, organized, and readily available. This role oversees the movement of display inventory between the showroom, warehouse, vendors, and other locations while maintaining accurate inventory records. In addition to display inventory management, this position supports receiving, shipping, customer pickups, showroom maintenance, and general warehouse operations. The Coordinator works closely with Management, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure the showroom remains organized, fully operational, and representative of the Lightology brand.


Primary Responsibilities

Display Inventory Management

  • Own and maintain the showroom display inventory.
  • Track the location and status of every display fixture, including but not limited to bulbs, dimmers and other components
  • Coordinate the installation, removal, relocation, and storage of display fixtures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all showroom displays.
  • Perform biannual audits and inventory counts of display inventory.
  • Coordinate display inventory transfers between the showroom and warehouse.
  • Ensure display inventory is clearly labeled, organized, and easily accessible.


Shipping, Receiving & Inventory

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and conditions.
  • Process receiving documentation and update inventory systems.
  • Stage customer pickups and outbound shipments.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and package products safely.
  • Maintain organized warehouse inventory.
  • Report inventory discrepancies and damaged merchandise.


Showroom Operations

  • Assist with removal of showroom display fixtures.
  • Maintain showroom storage areas, back-of-house spaces, and work areas.
  • Support showroom maintenance projects and general handyman tasks.
  • Ensure display inventory is showroom-ready at all times.


Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with Management, Sales and Customer Service
  • Communicate inventory changes, display movements, and receiving updates.
  • Support special showroom projects, events, and seasonal display changes.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new computer software and systems.
  • Basic computer troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of one year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory management experience.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 30 lbs. or more.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to stand and perform physical work for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Description
$25 - $28/hour
