SUMMARY OF ROLE
The NPI Technician will report into the Engineering team and carry out new product setup activities, experiments for process and yield improvement, device assembly operations, data collection, and process documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Device assembly including pick and place, CSAM, automated and manual inspection.
· Responsible for identifying and communicating process issues.
· Will set-up, operate, load, and monitor specialized equipment to ensure quality product.
· Responsible for clear, concise communication of results to the development team.
· Responsible for training other technicians and operators during production hand-off.
Note: the selected candidate should be available to train on 1st shift for approximately 3 months and then will be assigned to a second shift of 12pm-8pm or similar timing.
- Associate’s degree in science, physics, or engineering or equivalent educational experience.
- Hands on experience with semiconductor wafer processing or assembly equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out defined tasks independently with minimum supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to sit or stand entire shift in a cleanroom environment wearing proper safety equipment.
