Join the Mid-Maine Dolphins as a Assistant Swim Coach and make a lasting impact on the development of young athletes! Working under the direction of the Head Swim Coach, you will create a positive, supportive, and challenging environment where swimmers can build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead Mid-Maine Dolphins swim practices under the direction of the Head Coach.
- Provide constructive feedback to swimmers with age/ability-appropriate language.
- Serve as role model and mentor for youth swimmers.
- Assist with swim team administrative tasks including but not limited to meet entries, team schedules, and communication.
- Attend home and away swim meets. Assist with set up and administration of home meets.
- Maintain required coaching certifications.
WORK SCEHDULE: Part time at 20 hours per week. Daytime, evening, and weekend work hours. Availability to work on weekends, as needed for swim meets and team events.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to teach and lead through demonstration, teaching to all different styles of learning to promote and maintain an inclusive work environment.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Certified in Lifesaving, CPR/AED, and First Aid, or ability to acquire, required.
- YMCA or USA Swim Coach Certification, or ability to acquire, required.
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 1 year experience teaching aquatic courses and/or swim lessons is required.
- Former participation in competitive swim team required.
- Experience coaching swim team practices preferred.
