The Apartment Assistant Maintenance Supervisor position will assist and individually perform technical and mechanical work required around the premises, as well as report all ongoing activity to the maintenance supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Always demonstrate the highest level of customer service with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Always keep the premises in a safe and presentable condition that is both up to code and to the Laramar Group standards
  • Make electrical, carpentry, and HVAC related repairs
  • Transport and install new appliances
  • Work with community team to ensure the outside of the premises are clean and safe to ensure a high curb appeal
  • Know of and adhere to OSHA guidelines at all times
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by a supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required
  • 2 years of experience in property maintenance is required
  • Prior supervisor experience highly preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Must know and follow Fair Housing laws
  • Reliable transportation required

SUPERVISORY EXPECTATIONS:

Directly supervises one or more employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, coaching, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, concerns, and resolving problems.
