The Head Start Site Team Leader (STL) will oversee daily operations and facilities at assigned Head Start sites, providing support and supervision over services to children and families. Assist the program in assuring that all Head Start Performance Standards, Program Initiatives and other governance requirements are met and RWCFS Head Start policies and procedures are incorporated for the provision of high quality programming at assigned sites. Provide immediate response to site activities and needs, represent RWCFS Head Start/Early Head Start in the immediate service area, collaborate services with other local community collaborators and maintain close communication with all Head Start/Early Head Start sites. Uphold all program policies and procedures and exhibit appropriate cooperative attitude toward program staff, enrolled children and their families, and volunteers.
This is a full time, full year position - 40 hours a week between our Beloit and Elkhorn locations. This is a salaried, exempt position. $61,150 per year

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in creating, reviewing and revising policies and procedures as needed.
- Assist in creating ongoing monitoring strategies and tools and complete monitoring tasks including record keeping of ongoing monitoring.
- Work with HS Child Development Manager to support coach in prioritizing work with HS Teachers.
- Provide support to direct service staff with IEP and ISP development, implementation, record keeping, and targeted support to address specific family/child issues as needed.
- Provide support to direct service staff process for emergency interventions, including children with challenging behaviors and meet/talk with parents as needed.
- Work with the HS Child Development Manager and other professionals to plan and facilitate training to direct service staff.
- Assist with onboarding for new staff according to agency onboarding plan.
- Assist with the development of childcare collaborations, Memorandum of Understanding agreements and HS contracts as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise HS Teachers, Assistant Teachers and Classroom Aides/floats, including annual appraisal and professional development.
- Support work of the program Instructional Coach and contracted support for HS child development services in collaboration with appropriate program content area managers.
- Complete observations in support of Instructional Coach work.
- Participate in cross training and succession planning for HS child development services.
- Provide reflective supervision, including one on one meetings with supervisees and participate in reflective practice sessions.
- Attend/support CFP meetings and trainings.
- Attend/support planning/observe Head Start home visits and family events.
- Ensure reports, data and paperwork is provided to appropriate department personnel.
- Support staff in meeting program expectations by distributing data base records and follow up to ensure staff use them to collect and share information as directed.
- Support front-line staff with procedures for working with parents to identify individual child development and family goals and strategies to achieve them.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the development of orientation, onboarding plans and work with HS Child Development Manager to ensure all tools for implementing are developed and available.
- Demonstrate clear, respectful, and timely communication with teachers, families, and colleagues.
- Support management team in development of policy and systems to ensure seamless provision of all services for Head Start and Early Head Start services.
- Represent RWCFS on pertinent community committees as schedule/job duties allow.
OPERATION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete assigned operations paperwork, e.g., time sheets, Registry request forms, etc.
- Sub in classroom per on-call list /schedule.
- Participate in night and weekend activities pertinent to job duties.
- Support culture of safety.
- Support recruitment of program participants.
- Attend Operations meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (Pre-K) or a Bachelor’s degree or higher that includes coursework equivalent to a major in Early Childhood Education. Transcripts are required to validate educational requirements.
The right applicant with an Associate's degree in ECE and a minimum of 5 years of classroom management experience may be considered.
Employee must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certificates.
Required excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Ability to maintain good attendance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of supervisory experience is preferred.
Ability to operate a variety of office machines, such as computer, keyboard, coper, FAX machine, computer printer, etc.
It is desirable for the employee to be fluent in English and Spanish.
