What You Do
The Front Desk Assistant is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional, and secure environment for residents, visitors, vendors, and contractors at the property. This position staffs the front desk, monitors building access, assists residents, manages deliveries and building communications, and supports day-to-day administrative and operational needs.
Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Staff the lobby front desk and monitor the building entrance during scheduled hours.
- Greet and assist residents, visitors, vendors, delivery personnel, and contractors entering or exiting the building.
- Respond to resident inquiries, document issues or concerns, and notify the appropriate individual of security or property-related matters.
- Monitor security cameras, exterior doors, and building access to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Accept deliveries, maintain the package log, and notify residents when packages have arrived.
- Manage building communications and documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, and related systems, including: sending building announcements and group emails, notifying residents of scheduled inspections, and posting and distributing notices as needed.
- Maintain accurate resident and email rosters, add or edit names in the building call box, and manage key fob registration and distribution.
- Monitor vendors and contractors, including exterminators and other service providers, while they are working in residential units.
- Manage laundry-related operations, including collecting and tracking laundry revenue, handling and depositing funds as required, and cleaning washing machines monthly by running empty cycles with an approved cleaning solution.
- Bundle recycling and composting bags and sell them to residents.
- Follow all property rules, safety and security policies, procedures, and programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the assignment of other responsibilities that are reasonably related to the position.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3–5 years of experience in a front desk, concierge, residential property, customer service, or similar role preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, visitors, vendors, delivery personnel, and contractors.
- Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, and general office technology.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and day-to-day responsibilities in an organized manner.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, neat, and organized.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion when handling resident and property matters.
- Ability to commit to a consistent, long-term part-time schedule.
- Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 25 pounds to a height of approximately 3–4 feet.

Salary: $18.40 per hour
