The Position:
The Public Area Lead oversees the daily operations and cleanliness of all public spaces within the property, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. This role provides hands-on support, assigns tasks, monitors quality standards, and serves as the primary point of contact for the public area team. The Lead works closely with hotel leadership to coordinate schedules, respond to guest and team members’ needs promptly, and uphold the highest standards of hospitality and presentation.
- Upholds the resorts commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Monitor public spaces for cleanliness and safety concerns; report maintenance issues, hazards, or unusual activity promptly.
- Respond quickly and courteously to guest or staff requests, ensuring service recovery and support when needed.
- Assist guests when possible, with comments, questions or concerns or refers them to management in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service.
- Supervise, train, and support Public Area Attendants in performing daily cleaning and maintenance tasks across all public spaces.

- High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or hospitality operations; prior leadership or trainer experience preferred.
- Recreation personnel should know how to swim.
- Able to perform repetitive tasks/motions.
- Good manual dexterity along with good eye/hand coordination and clarity of vision.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Skilled at handling multiple priorities and tasks at once.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to obtain a Class I Gaming License.
- Employee must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times (specific standards available) and maintain a team motivated attitude
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
