OVERVIEW

The Assistant Banquet Manager assists in the oversight of the Banquet Department, ensuring smooth operations by training and supervising the service team and attendants. They are responsible for all aspects of functions, including set-ups, ordering, and breakdowns, as well as staffing levels and room usage. 

   

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

· Coordinates operations with the kitchen team and catering office, ensuring room setups align with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and managing staffing

· Works closely with Food & Beverage department on daily operations and events, collaborating with the Executive Chef and other team members on plans for room use, budgets, and equipment

· Collaborate with AV & Infrastructure Support Specialist to ensure client AV needs are addressed

· Represents the organization, liaising with contacts to execute BEOs and arranging special requests

· Manages equipment inventory and orders for services, including beverages and liquor

· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment 

· Stay updated on industry practices and adheres to organizational rules and practices


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

 · A minimum of five (2) years of experience managing in a catering or banquet setting

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field

· Washington State Food Handler’s Permit 

· Class 12 MAST (Mandatory Alcohol Server Training) permit

· Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset

· Night and weekend availability

 
PAY INFORMATION

· Pay range: $33.00-$37.00 per hour
