We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive People Admin to join our team. In this role, the People Admin will serve as the primary administrative support to the People Team while also executing a variety of human resources functions. This position is responsible for supporting employee records management, HRIS maintenance, employee communications, and special projects. The role plays a critical part in ensuring administrative and HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies.
Accuracy is an essential function of this position. The People Admin is responsible for handling sensitive employee information and maintaining critical personnel records that directly impact employees and business operations. The successful candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and will be expected to consistently produce high-quality work with minimal errors.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems (HRIS), ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Prepare and process HR transactions in Paylocity, including hires, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations.
- Prepare and process employment documents, including offer letters.
- Draft, proofread, and distribute employee communications, forms, reports, presentations, and other documents, as needed.
- Assist with administrative and HR-related projects assigned by the Director of People.
- Conduct quality control reviews of HR records, transactions, communications, and documentation to ensure a high standard of accuracy.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Support payroll documentation and compliance initiatives.
- Complete employment verifications accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 1-2 years of HR admin or related experience, preferably in the fitness, wellness, or hospitality industry.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills are important.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with labor laws and People Operations best practices.
- Experience working with HR systems (Paylocity) and Microsoft Office Suite, preferred.
- Certifications: HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus but not required
