The Gund Company has an immediate opening at our Fergus, Ontario manufacturing plant

for a full-time CNC Router Operator  to join our team!


Shift:  2nd Shift, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, Monday through Thursday.


Starting Hourly Wage: $24.50 +15% shift premium

Job Summary


CNC Router Operator


As a CNC Router Operator , you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring that parts are fabricated to meet work order specifications and customer requirements. This includes loading and operating various CNC production machinery and adhering to safety and quality standards.

This opening is for our CNC Router department.  The operator will be required to train on and run other equipment as needed. 


  

Essential Job Functions

  • Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using CNC machining centers to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on Work Orders and blue prints
  • Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required
  • Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area


Requirements

  

Qualifications


 CNC Router Operator - Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED with prior hands-on, vocational, or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with CNC milling machines or similar equipment.
  • Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a custom manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with CNC milling machines or similar equipment.


Work Environment


CNC Haas Milling Machine Operator

  • This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labour, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
