Senior M365 Power Platform/SharePoint Expert- Part Time
Description

Provides senior technical leadership, architecture, design, development, and best-practices consulting for Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and SharePoint solutions within complex federal enterprise environments. This role translates business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions while establishing sound approaches for architecture, governance, workflows, information organization, business intelligence, and platform use. Serves as a senior technical resource for evaluating solution options and guiding the effective use of Microsoft technologies to meet organizational requirements.


Provides technical direction throughout the solution lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through development, implementation, documentation, and user adoption. Works closely with customers, developers, analysts, administrators, and other technical resources to define requirements, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure solutions are implemented in an orderly and cost-effective manner. Maintains awareness of evolving Microsoft technologies and recommends appropriate capabilities, standards, and practices that improve solution performance, usability, supportability, and long-term value.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Lead architecture, solution design, and technical planning for Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, and related Microsoft technologies supporting complex enterprise information systems.
  •  Design and guide the logical, physical, functional, operational, and technical architecture of large and complex SharePoint and information-management solutions.
  •  Provide best-practices guidance for architecture, topology, governance, classification and taxonomy, workflows, business intelligence, documentation, and training.
  •  Work with business and technical stakeholders to identify requirements, evaluate solution alternatives, and translate business needs into effective Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform solutions.
  •  Design, develop, and oversee solutions using Power Apps, SharePoint, workflows, standard web parts, business intelligence capabilities, and related Microsoft 365 services.
  •  Establish and maintain appropriate platform standards, business processes, solution documentation, architecture guidance, and implementation practices.
  •  Evaluate new and emerging Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform services and recommend appropriate technologies or capabilities based on business and technical needs.
  •  Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers and other technical resources, review solution approaches, and support development of application documentation, training, and knowledge-transfer materials.
Requirements
  •  Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical, IT, or scientific discipline, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  •  MCP and/or MCT certification(s) as required for the position.
  •  Minimum of five years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
  •  Demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365 design, development, and architecture.
  •  Demonstrated experience with SharePoint development and the architecture of large, complex SharePoint or information-management environments.
  •  Experience with architecture, governance, taxonomy, workflows, business intelligence, documentation, training, and implementation of enterprise Microsoft solutions.
  •  Strong ability to communicate technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders and provide technical direction to development teams.
  •  Ability to successfully complete applicable federal suitability and background investigation requirements.


Preferred:

  •  Experience developing solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and modern SharePoint development approaches.
  •  Experience with Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, and enterprise system integrations.
  •  Working knowledge of development technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, HTML, CSS, JSON, and related web technologies.
  •  Experience designing or developing solutions using Dataverse and integrating Power Platform applications with enterprise data sources.
  •  Experience with Azure services supporting Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Power Platform solutions.
  •  Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, source control, application lifecycle management (ALM), CI/CD, and structured release/deployment practices.
  •  Experience applying security, identity and access management, data governance, and environment-management practices within Microsoft cloud environments.
  •  Experience working with or providing technical leadership for Agile development teams in federal government environments.
