Facilities Services Assistant - The Marquardt

The Marquardt, an Illuminus Community, is hiring for a Facilities Services Assistant.


Set on a 52-acre campus with rolling green lawns, gorgeous trees and flowers and paved walkways, The Marquardt offers assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care as well as independent living options for older adults in Garden Homes and apartments.


Established in 1969, The Marquardt has continued to transform expectations of senior living with ever-evolving and expansive options in Watertown, Wisconsin, conveniently located halfway between Madison and Milwaukee.


Pay starting at $19.53 per hour

  • Responsible for on-call services, if assigned.
  • Receive, prioritize, and enter Independent Living resident work orders into the maintenance management system.
  • Track progress of work orders and follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate updates to residents with professionalism and clarity.
  • Provide courteous, timely responses to residents, demonstrating patience and a service-oriented approach.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for maintenance logs, vendor documentation, safety documentation, and regulatory records.
  • Assist with supply management, invoice processing, and purchase orders through the organizations management systems.
  • Support preventative maintenance scheduling and documentation through the organizations management systems.
  • Coordinate vendor visits, deliveries, and service appointments.
  • Maintain records required for state, federal, and accreditation compliance (e.g., life safety, fire inspections, equipment testing, and state and federal surveys).
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, distributing materials and maintaining established par levels.
  • Help coordinate room setups, community event logistics, and facility-wide communications.

Requirements

1. Commitment to quality outcomes and services for all individuals.

3. Proficiency with office software (email, spreadsheets, databases, etc.).

4. Strong administrative and organizational skills.

5. Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information.

6. Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions.

7. Ability to adapt to change.

8. Tolerant of interruptions and willing to be flexible with daily schedule.

9. Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record and provide auto insurance with Marquardt minimum coverage requirements.


Experience and Training

1. At least 18 years of age.

2. High school degree required.

3. Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality preferred.

4. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, resident and hospitality-focused environments.
