POSITION SUMMARY

The Area 77 Entry-Level Packaging Technician supports daily packaging operations by accurately preparing materials, following Quality Control (QC) work instructions, and ensuring all products are packaged, labeled, and handled correctly. This role supports efficient production, product quality, safety, SOP compliance, continuous improvement efforts, and daily production goals.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Package finished products in accordance with Area 77 SOPs and QC work instructions.
  • Handle raw materials carefully to prevent contamination, damage, or product mix-ups.
  • Assist with preparing approved mixes by following QC recipes and instructions.
  • Stage completed products accurately for downstream processes or shipment.
  • Operate and monitor packaging equipment safely and efficiently while producing quality products.
  • Follow daily production schedules and goals.
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment and process issues under supervision.
  • Support efforts to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to follow written instructions, SOPs, and QC work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.


SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE

  • 30 Days: Complete training, demonstrate reliability, follow SOPs and 5S requirements, and assist with troubleshooting under supervision.
  • 3 Months: Work independently, maintain accurate production documentation, and contribute to minimizing downtime.
  • 6 Months: Become proficient in packaging processes and equipment, assist with training new team members, and consistently meet production goals.
  • 9 Months: Support efficiency and safety improvements, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and become cross-trained in other departments.
