Description
Hartzell seeks a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and prefer variation in the work day as it will include both routine and regular work and special assignments.
General Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This position performs preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC machinery, machining equipment, production support equipment, electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and general facility equipment.
Examples of Typical Job Activities
1) Perform coolant, filter and oil changes on equipment
2) Develop placards (Preventative maintenance)
3) Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and others parts of machinery
4) Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as filter changes
5) Reads electrical and hydraulic schematics
6) Visually inspects and trouble shoots equipment
7) Performs equipment repair
a. Dismantles defective equipment and installs new or repaired parts
8) Runs conduit and circuit wiring
9) Repairs and maintains buildings and grounds
10) Operates tow motor and scissor lift
11) Moves equipment and re-installs electric, air and network as required.
12) Performs plumbing tasks
a. Runs pipe
b. Repairs leaking lines,
c. Clears clogged drains
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required; 3-5 years of experience
Must be willing to work overtime and work an off shift as required.
Required Technical Skills
1) Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Skills
2) Understanding of basic CNC machine maintenance
3) Ability to read CNC electrical and hydraulic schematics
4) General knowledge of Machine controls, Mazatrol, Fanuc and Siemans
5) Working knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook
