Position Summary:
The primary role of the Assistant Residential Supervisor is to ensure the residential program is functioning adequately while adhering to the program rules and to provide adequate supervision to the Recovery Technicians (RT’s).
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision of all Lead Recovery Technicians and Recovery Technicians (RT’s) on shift to ensure program activities are followed by individuals served.
- Ensure all RT documentation (i.e., shift notes, house log, drug urinalysis exams) is reviewed within 24 hours of completion.
- Provide training to all RT personnel on appropriate de-escalation skills and trauma-informed techniques.
- Work closely with Residential Manager to provide a daily update on situations involving individuals served.
- Monitors personnel performance, absences, and call outs to complete annual personnel evaluations accordingly for Recovery Technicians and Recovery Technician Leads up to and including disciplinary actions.
- Participate in daily and treatment team meetings to ensure all recommendations are followed through by assigned RTs.
- Monitor inventory list and work with Lead Recovery Technicians to order necessary items for individuals served.
- Ensure drug urinalysis exams are being performed by RT personnel, at least once per week for all individuals served or as required by referral source.
- Ensure daily room checks are conducted and documented by RT personnel according to the agency’s protocols.
- Ensure agency vehicle log binders are accurate and up to date (i.e. mileage forms, first aid kits, fire extinguisher, etc.).
- Conduct emergency preparedness drills to all shifts on a monthly basis to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
- Complete survey monkey forms for all drills conducted monthly.
- Create bi-weekly schedule for all RT’s accordingly and efficiently.
- Approve personnel timesheets on a weekly basis.
- Monitor and review incident reports completed by Recovery Technicians is completed within 24 hours.
- Coordinates weekly transportation schedule once passes are reviewed and approved by supervisory team.
- Complete Evacuation Plan as per our contract/ Managing Entity.
- Assure daily shift turnover meetings with all RT’s personnel is conducted.
- Work effectively with Residential Manager to ensure personnel and individuals served alike are being treated with respect and compassion.
- Complete additional tasks required by Residential Manager.
Qualifications: The position requires a candidate who is organized, skillful, and an effective communicator to work with clinical team and other personnel. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, displays professionalism, compassion, and effective problem-solving skills. Education and/
or Experience: High school diploma is required with at least 1 year experience with substance abuse and mental health population in the residential setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health or related field is preferred
