Description

2nd shift runs from 3:15 p.m. - 11:45 p.m., Monday - Friday. Some overtime will be available during the week. Training likely to take place on 1st or 2nd shift for the first 4 - 6 weeks.


SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS - MACHINE OPERATOR / PRODUCTION OPERATOR

Actively involved in all duties for procedures related to plating processing a variety of circuit board to obtain multiple finishes for electrical conductivity.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare tanks by removing residue, checking anodes and making necessary additions.
  • Setting proper temperatures and cycle times.
  • Prepare the surface of the board through various cleaning processes.
  • Verify quality requirements to finished product.
  • Operator may be trained on the following processes as deemed necessary: Black Oxide, Deburr, Desmear/Electroless Copper, Pattern Plating, Nickel/Gold, Black Hole, Etchers, Silver and Resist Strip.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to department supervisor and Director of Operations.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma is required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Standing for long periods of time is required.

Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines.

Use of plating thickness instruments including microscope, fixture and hand tools so good vision and dexterity required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dirt and chemicals.


WORK SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday from 3:15 p.m. - 11:45 p.m. with some overtime available during the week.

Training may take place on one of the following shifts for the first 4 - 6 weeks:

Training on 1st shift: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

Training on mid-shift: 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

Salary Description
$18 - $20 per hour base + $0.75 shift premium
