Description

 As a Culinary Steward, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dish areas. Your contributions will ensure that our culinary team can operate efficiently, providing exceptional service to our guests. Pay starts at $16/hr.


Job Duties:

  • Bus speed racks and all dishes and cooking utensils into the dish machine, returning them to their proper places in the kitchen.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dish machine and dish room, ensuring all equipment is functional.
  • Deliver glasses, plateware, and other items to various departments as instructed by your supervisor.
  • Set up, regularly clean, and operate the dish machine efficiently.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including floors, counters, and equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management by reporting low stock levels of supplies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.

Physical demands:

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10 F) and kitchens (+110 F), possibly for one hour or more.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
  • Must be able to position oneself to complete necessary tasks.
  • Requires grasping, reaching, and performing repetitive motions; manual dexterity to operate equipment.
  • Must be able to lift items weighting up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to push carts weighing up to 150 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
