Description
Our client is seeking a Human Resources Manager to provide strategic leadership and hands-on management of all HR functions. This role will support organizational growth by overseeing talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee development. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded HR leader who can balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day execution while building a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with business objectives
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational structure, and succession planning
- Develop HR metrics and reporting to support business decisions
- Lead initiatives to strengthen company culture and employee engagement across field and office teams
Recruitment, Hiring, & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for field, professional, project management, and administrative positions
- Partner with hiring managers on job descriptions, candidate evaluation, interviews, and hiring decisions
- Oversee onboarding and ensure new employees are effectively integrated into the organization
- Develop talent pipelines through relationships with trade schools, universities, and industry organizations
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as the primary resource for employee relations matters, coaching, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns
- Conduct employee investigations as needed
- Support managers with performance management, corrective action, and terminations
- Develop initiatives focused on employee engagement, morale, and retention
Compensation, Benefits, & Compliance
- Oversee benefits administration and support the development of competitive compensation programs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, and required regulatory reporting
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that promote consistency and compliance
Training, Development, & Performance Management
- Develop and coordinate employee training and development programs, including safety and leadership training
- Oversee performance management, goal setting, evaluations, and career development processes
- Coach managers and supervisors on leadership, communication, and employee development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, compliance, compensation, benefits, and talent acquisition
- Experience supporting construction, field-based, or related operations strongly preferred
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a growing organization
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and credibility across all levels of an organization
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
