Description

A Home Health and Hospice Office Managers ensures that services provided to patients will be reimbursed, handles the majority of back-office duties, and manages any assistants on staff.


Schedule: Full-Time, Weekdays, Day Shift, 8 Hour Shifts


Responsibilities and Duties

• Verify eligibility and benefits via phone and online portals for a variety of insurances and Medicare

• Complete intake of new patient admissions in EHR software and schedule initial care visits

• Ensure all physician orders are sent, signed, and returned within allotted time

• Ability to read, research, and route correspondence to appropriate parties

• Track, manage, and collect all co-pays and patient responsibility amounts in a timely manner

• Responsible for completing all necessary steps in claim filing prior to submission by corporate office

• Effectively communicate with all staff to ensure above steps are timely

• Assist Administrator with all other facets of the office such as payables, payroll, HR, etc.

• Efficiently collect and analyze information

• Operate and manage multi-line phone system

• Weekly bank deposits

• Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with co-workers

• Support Advanced Home Health and Hospice culture by promoting “Friendly, Positive, and Focused on Excellence"

• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Competencies:

  • Proficient in mathematical, verbal, written, and computer skills, as well as reasoning ability
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently

Job Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-5 years Healthcare or Management experience is required. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to walk, sit, stand, bend, reach, lift, and move about
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • To perform other duties as required

Salary Description
$60,000 - $65,000 Annually
