Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma is looking for an Automotive Service Technician to join our service team. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced technicians, and build the skills needed for a long-term career in automotive repair.


No full-line technician experience is required. We're looking for someone dependable, mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to develop their skills in a professional service environment.

What You'll Do

  • Perform routine maintenance including oil services, inspections, tire rotations, and other basic services 
  • Assist experienced technicians with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs      
  • Learn how to use automotive tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems 
  • Develop hands-on skills in mechanical, electrical, and vehicle systems 
  • Complete work according to Mercedes-Benz service procedures and quality standards 
  • Keep your work area organized and maintain a clean, professional shop environment 
  • Work with technicians, advisors, and parts personnel to support an efficient service operation 
  • Continue developing your technical skills with the goal of progressing into more advanced technician responsibilities 

What We're Looking For

  • Basic mechanical knowledge, automotive coursework, or technical training is helpful but not required 
  • Interest in building a career in automotive service 
  • Willingness to learn new tools, technology, and repair procedures 
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely 
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic 
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Strong automotive background
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others. 
  • Basic computer skills. 
  • Basic mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to understand and apply common sense.
  • Clean driving record 
  • Willing to submit to a drug screen.
