Objectives of this role

We are currently seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in Charlotte, NC.
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of materials and products. This role involves coordinating logistics, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.


Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting operational efficiency. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantity and condition of materials.
  • Process inbound and outbound shipments accurately and timely.
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and bills of lading.
  • Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and transaction processing.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
  • Coordinate with customer service, operations, and carriers regarding shipments.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of Shipping & Receiving or warehouse experience.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and shipping software.
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial distribution or manufacturing.
  • ERP/WMS experience.
  • Knowledge of freight, LTL, and parcel shipping procedures.

Salary Description
$21/hr to $22/hr
