We are hiring a Housekeeper Supervisor!

Job Summary:
Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of resident apartments, common areas, offices and laundry operations. Supervision of departmental staff which includes hiring, training, evaluating and termination. Ensure proper sanitation and body mechanics. Participate in the Manager on Duty Program.

Qualifications:
High school education or equivalency and six months experience in housekeeping and staff supervision preferred. Must possess the ability to read, write and speak English. Be dependable and capable of making mature judgments. Must possess knowledge of safety and safe sanitation practices. Lift 50 pounds unassisted and work on your feet for eight hours a day, five days a week. Be certified in First Aid and CPR and be capable of meeting all requirements that may be specified by the state or other regulatory agencies.

- Clean assigned resident apartments, common areas and offices of the community.
- Create and maintain apartment and common area cleaning schedules.
- Ensure that cleaning schedules are being completed with a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Collect and clean resident soiled linen, towels and personal laundry weekly. Ensure that all personal items are labeled.
- Identify any specific cleaning or laundry needs.
- Direct appropriate staff to complete tasks.
- Provide additional cleaning/sanitizing of incontinent resident apartments as directed.
- Assist and supervise with all laundry operations.
- Assist with ordering, receiving and controlling housekeeping supplies and manage departmental budget within published financial guidelines.
- Maintain a professional caring approach when dealing with residents, families, staff, visitors, vendors and the general public.
- Attend all meetings that the Executive Director/General Manager or Manager on Duty deems necessary.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director/General Manager or Manager on Duty.
