Description

The Medical Supply Logistics Technician provides medical logistics, warehouse management, and War Reserve Material (WRM) support at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The position is responsible for managing medical supplies and equipment through the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system; receiving, storing, inventorying, shipping, and issuing supplies; supporting WRM maintenance and accountability programs; assisting with funding and expenditure tracking; operating government vehicles and material handling equipment; and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment in accordance with Air Force and OSHA standards. The technician works closely with medical readiness personnel to ensure operational readiness and compliance with applicable DoD and Air Force logistics requirements. 

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 months of demonstrated experience maintaining and managing War Reserve Material (WRM) in a Department of Defense supply, logistics, or warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with U.S. Air Force supply systems, policies, inventory procedures, nomenclature, and WRM allowance standards.
  • Extensive working knowledge and hands-on experience with the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to obtain authorization to operate government vehicles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) requirements.
  • Experience receiving, storing, inventorying, shipping, issuing, and tracking government supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to perform warehouse operations safely, including operation of hand trucks and forklifts.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to satisfy applicable government background screening and access requirements. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 12 months of experience in a medical supply warehouse or healthcare logistics environment.
  • Experience supporting military medical readiness or deployment programs.
  • Familiarity with medical equipment and healthcare supply chain processes.
  • Experience managing government property accountability programs.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, funding, or expenditure tracking activities.
  • Familiarity with Air Force logistics regulations and warehouse management practices.
  • Experience conducting physical inventories and discrepancy resolution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting federal, military, or defense healthcare organizations.
