Certified Interpreter 

Work Type: 1099 Contract | Virtual

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time, accurate interpretation between two or more languages.
• Interpret in various settings, including meetings, medical appointments, court proceedings, and public events.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Adapt to different speaking styles, dialects, and regional variations.
• Assist in translating written documents when necessary.
• Prepare for assignments by researching industry-specific terminology.
• Collaborate with clients, professionals, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication.
• Utilize remote interpreting tools when necessary, such as video or telephone interpretation.
• Continuously develop language and interpretation skills through training and professional development.
• Uphold ethical standards and best practices in interpretation.

• Hold RID certification and/or relevant state BEI certification
• Are comfortable providing professional virtual interpreting services
• Are reliable, responsive, and professional
