Requirements

Hartzell Propeller is a world class manufacturer utilizing cutting edge multi-axis mill turn CNC equipment and aerospace robotic machining centers. Hartzell is multi-site with over 300,000 square feet under roof.   The business is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician to be responsible for keeping the equipment clean and in working order to eliminate downtime. Our facilities are multi-site locations in Piqua and this position may be required to support activities at all of our facilities. 

  

Examples of Typical Job Activities
1) Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as routine filter changes along with other maintenance related items
2) Work in parallel with other departments and skilled trades on projects
· New Robotic and CNC machine cell layouts
· Utilities installations
· New process implementations
· Robotics process development and implementation
3) Develop placards (preventative maintenance)
4) Performs equipment repair
· Dismantles defective equipment and installs new or repaired parts
· Support test run of repaired equipment
5) Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
6) Moves equipment and re-installs electric, air and network as required.
7) Performs various plumbing tasks including but not limited to
· Running pipe
· Repairing leaking lines,
· Clearing clogged drains


Required Experience:
1) High School Diploma or GED required; 3-5 years of experience – trade school is a plus
2) Must be willing to work overtime and have off shift hours as required.
 

Required Technical Skills
1) Problem solving and troubleshooting Skills
2) Understanding of basic CNC machine maintenance
3) Ability to read and understand CNC electrical and hydraulic schematics
4) General knowledge of Machine controls, Mazatrol, Fanuc and Siemens
5) Working knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, and Maintenance software
6) Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
7) Ability to visually inspect and troubleshoot equipment, including but not limited to
a. CNC machinery
b. Robots
c. Automated systems
d. Manual machinery
e. Compressed air systems
f. Presses
8) Ability to install conduit and circuit wiring
