Position Overview:
TrueScripts is committed to maintaining a strong culture of compliance while navigating an evolving healthcare and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) regulatory environment. We are seeking a Compliance Specialist who is detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn. This role will support the organization's compliance program through regulatory research, compliance monitoring, documentation management, reporting, and operational support.
The Compliance Specialist will work closely with the Compliance Manager, Legal team, and cross-functional departments to help ensure regulatory and licensing requirements are understood, tracked, and implemented throughout the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional interested in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, privacy, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support regulatory licensing activity, renewals and related recordkeeping
- Support responses to regulatory inquiries and requests
- Support the ongoing administration of TrueScripts' compliance program and regulatory initiatives
- Monitor state and federal regulatory updates impacting pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and healthcare organizations
- Assist with regulatory research and summarize findings for compliance and operational stakeholders
- Maintain compliance documentation, policies, procedures, and supporting records
- Support the implementation and tracking of regulatory requirements across business functions
- Assist with preparation and submission of regulatory reports, filings, and documentation
- Support compliance audits, assessments, and monitoring activities
- Assist with the review and investigation of compliance concerns, incidents, and privacy-related matters
- Participate in HIPAA compliance activities, privacy monitoring, and documentation efforts
- Track corrective actions and follow-up items resulting from compliance reviews or audits
- Assist in the development and distribution of compliance communications, alerts, and educational materials
- Support compliance training initiatives, including scheduling, materials preparation, and tracking completion
- Assist with client, prospect, and regulatory requests for compliance-related information and documentation
- Contribute to RFP responses and due diligence requests by gathering and organizing compliance information
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations related to compliance activities and program performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote compliance awareness and support operational excellence
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Legal Studies, Pharmacy, Compliance, or a related field
- 1-4 years of professional experience in compliance, healthcare administration, legal support, risk management, auditing, insurance, pharmacy, or a related field
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze information and identify potential compliance risks or concerns
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, health insurance, PBM, or other regulated industries
- Exposure to State PBM, TPA or similar regulations, including licensing or similar function requirements
- Internship or professional experience supporting compliance, legal, audit, or regulatory functions
- Familiarity with policy and procedure management
- Knowledge of regulatory research tools and resources
Working Conditions:
- Primarily remote position with occasional travel to the TrueScripts office in Washington, Indiana, for meetings, team events, training, and cultural activities as needed
- Less than 10% travel required
