Position Summary:

The Regional Safety Manager – Environmental Specialist is responsible for driving technician development, safety performance, and operational efficiency across the region.  In this role, we are looking for a candidate with a strong knowledge of environmental regulations and expertise. This role leads to the improvement of all safety/environmental metrics, development of environmental SOP’s & environmental compliance. Conducting audits at facilities in the mid-west and northeast as the company grows.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental policies and regulations. Write SOP’s for all locations (CA to NY) concerning environmental compliance. 
  • File all Tier II reports, follow up on RCRA standards, handle all waste/used oil removal & recycling.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety policies, conduct audits, and maintain safety documentation.
  • Emergency Response: Implement emergency response protocols and ensure that all team members are properly trained.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, safety violations, quality escapes at and with customers onsite as needed and implement and communicate effective corrective actions that eliminate reoccurrence.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure certifications are up to date, stay current with regulations, and prepare monthly reports as required.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Technical Trades, or related field preferred
  • Strong Environmental Background – Familiar with CA regulations, RCRA, Waste Management, etc.
  • CSP/CHST or similar safety credential a plus
  • Experience conducting field safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions
  • Background developing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety, LOTO, NFPA, and OSHA standards
  • Well-Organized & fluent in use of all Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to influence safety culture and drive accountability across multiple branches
  • Effective partnering with technicians, managers, and senior leadership
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities across a region
  • Ability to analyze performance data and prepare monthly/quarterly reports
  • Regional travel required (approx. 30–60%)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work in various field conditions at customer sites
