Description

  

· Develop detailed project execution plans integrating engineering, procurement, and construction phases, including timelines, resource allocation, task dependencies, and critical path.

· Direct and track project engineering deliverables (general arrangement drawings, structural, mechanical, and controls design) against the master schedule.

· Manage customer drawing submittals, approvals, and revision control; coordinate design interfaces between GK equipment and customer or third-party structures, utilities, and control systems.

· Conduct initial risk assessment and mitigation planning across all project phases.

Procurement

· Develop and execute the project procurement plan for subcontracted fabrication, bought-out components, and construction services.

· Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier and subcontractor bids, and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery commitments in conjunction with purchasing.

· Expedite vendors and monitor material and equipment deliveries to support the fabrication and construction schedule.

· Administer subcontracts and purchase orders, including scope changes, back-charges, and claims avoidance.

Construction

· Plan and oversee site construction and installation activities, including rigging, mechanical erection, and electrical installation.

· Manage installation subcontractors and site supervision; verify contractor qualifications, insurance, and safety programs.

· Ensure site work complies with applicable safety regulations (OSHA/MSHA) and customer site requirements.

· Direct equipment commissioning, startup, and performance testing; manage punch-list closeout through final acceptance and handover.

Project Controls & Communication

· Prepare project budgets and forecasts in conjunction with finance and accounting teams; monitor expenditures and track costs against budget for each project phase.

· Manage the change order process, documenting scope changes and negotiating equitable cost and schedule adjustments with customers and subcontractors.

· Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

· Prepare and distribute project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and milestones achieved.

· Maintain weekly communication with production, engineering, and sales departments, with updates to ensure proper adherence to established timelines and objectives.

· Assist in developing best practices, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for EPC project execution.

· Comply with the company's ISO objectives, policies, & procedures.

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, industrial technology, or business, or equivalent experience.

· Five (5) or more years of project management experience on EPC, turnkey, or capital equipment projects in an OEM, Industrial, or Construction setting.

· Demonstrated field/site experience managing installation or construction contractors; working knowledge of OSHA/MSHA site safety requirements.

· Experience administering subcontracts and purchase orders, including commercial terms & conditions and change order management.

· Blueprint reading required (AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, etc.)

· Ability and willingness to travel 25-40%, including extended stays at customer job sites during installation and commissioning.

· Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

· Background check is a requirement of the hiring process.

· Proficiency with MS Office Suite, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Proficient working with an ERP and with Project Management software (MS Project, Procore, etc.)

· PMP certification and/or OSHA 30 training a plus.
