Floater
Description

 The Floater is responsible for assisting with the direction and administration of Branch operations. Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed. Oversees the provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members. Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served. Acts as Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager as necessary. Trains, directs, and assists in supervising Branch staff. Performs various Branch functions as required. Responsible for providing a variety of branch service duties. Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash totals. Performs specifically assigned jobs and assists other BSRs with a variety of duties as required. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the complete line of products and services and offers appropriate products and services to members and potential members. Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served in person, over the phone, or online.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and audit standards. Provides suggestions for improved effectiveness.
  • Ensures Branch security. Assists with opening and closing the building in accordance with set hours. Tests security equipment as assigned.
  • Ensures that the Branch balances all transactions at the close of each day.
  • Oversees Tellers, runs related reports, and balances the vault at the end of each day. Provides assistance to Tellers as needed.
  • Assists with Member Service Representative Functions as needed.
  • Promotes Branch business development and seeks to broaden member base.
  • Actively cross-sells Credit Union products and services.
  • Assists with implementing changes to established policy and procedures within the branch.
  • Represents the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Opens and closes computer terminal accounts daily. Processes assigned cash and transactions and balances at end of day.
  • Verifies transactions. Monitors deposit amounts, and examines documents endorsement and negotiability. Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly.
  • Assists with loan processing. Posts loan payments.
  • Processes maintenance for online banking accounts.
  • Assists with vault duties.
  • Ensures that members' requests and questions are promptly and courteously resolved. Answers members’ questions or refers appropriately.
  • Ensures the members are informed of Credit Union services, products, and policies.
  • Ensures that the Credit Union's professional reputation is maintained.
  • Cross-sells Credit Union products and services.
  • Replaces Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager as necessary. Assists with personnel functions as assigned.
  • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Completes other duties as assigned, including cross training in current or other departments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of similar or related experience 

  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of Credit Union products, services, and policies.
  • Understanding of Teller/Member Experience Agent functions.
  • Knowledge of Member Experience Advisor duties. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Well organized.
  • Able to operate related computer applications and basic business equipment.
  • Good supervisory abilities.


Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Stationary work, often requiring standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Operate standard office equipment and keyboards
  • Visually recognize, reconcile, and verify numerical details for accuracy
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Must be able to access and navigate facility with reasonable accommodations
  • Lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items

Salary Description
$23.75-$25.23 Hourly
