Receiving Manager
Description

Position Overview 

The Receiving Manager is responsible for overseeing all receiving and inventory operations within the Armada East warehouse. This role ensures accurate product intake, inventory integrity, and compliance with all safety regulations. 

The Receiving Manager plays a critical role in supporting downstream departments by maintaining high standards in quality control, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency. This position also drives data-backed decision-making by identifying inventory discrepancies, trends, and inefficiencies, and partnering with the Warehouse Manager to optimize warehouse performance. 


Key Responsibilities 


1. Safety Assurance 

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant warehouse environment  
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, policies, and best practices  
  • Conduct routine safety checks and address hazards proactively  

2. Receiving Operations Management 

  • Lead and supervise a team of 5–10 Receiving Associates  
  • Oversee daily inbound operations including package, pallet, and freight intake  
  • Ensure all incoming goods are received accurately and efficiently using internal systems (e.g., ShipHero)  
  • Maintain high standards of quality control during the intake process  
  • Build scalable processes to support business growth  

3. Inventory Management 

  • Lead and supervise Inventory Specialists to maintain accurate inventory levels  
  • Ensure discrepancies are identified, documented, and resolved promptly  
  • Monitor inventory movements and optimize warehouse space utilization  
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Manager on strategic inventory placement and flow  

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with Account Managers (AMs), Operations, Procurement, and Logistics teams  
  • Provide visibility on inbound shipments and inventory status  
  • Escalate missing, delayed, or damaged goods in a timely manner  
  • Support cost-control initiatives by minimizing inventory-related errors  

5. Systems & Data Utilization 

  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor performance and accuracy  
  • Analyze data to identify patterns, discrepancies, and operational inefficiencies  
  • Implement root-cause solutions to improve receiving and inventory processes  

6. Training & Development 

  • Train, mentor, and develop Receiving and Inventory team members  
  • Establish and uphold SOPs to ensure consistency across operations  
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence  

 Qualifications for Success 

  • Proven leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution environment  
  • Strong background in inventory control and material handling  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities  
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and operational technologies  
  • Ability to identify process gaps and take ownership of improvements

  • Hourly rate ($25 - $27) USD

Requirements

 Requirements 

  • Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)  
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience, with leadership responsibilities  
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per day  
  • Ability to lift and move inventory as needed  
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this role

$25 - 27 p/h
