Position Description


U.S. Soccer is seeking a Coordinator, Content Operations to support the operational workflows and systems that power the Federation’s growing content ecosystem.


This role will support content production, project coordination, media asset management and production logistics across video, photography and post-production teams. They will help manage day-to-day workflows, maintain project organization and assist in ensuring content initiatives move efficiently from intake through delivery and archival.


The Coordinator, Content Operations will also support the organization and management of the Federation’s media libraries across platforms including Iconik and PhotoShelter, helping ensure assets are properly archived, tagged and accessible for future use.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented and eager to grow within a fast-paced content and production environment. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating across departments and helping support operational processes that enable efficient, high-quality content production across the Federation.


Primary Responsibilities

    

Content Operations & Project Management

  • Support the day-to-day management of the department’s content intake and project tracking workflows
  • Assist in coordinating timelines, deliverables and project communication across content initiatives Help maintain project trackers, production schedules and operational calendars
  •  Coordinate with internal stakeholders across video, social media, editorial, photography and strategy teams to support content execution
  • Help ensure projects are properly organized, scoped and operationalized throughout the production lifecycle
  • Assist in identifying workflow bottlenecks and operational inefficiencies, escalating issues as needed
  • Support departmental organization and operational documentation, including templates, workflows and process tracking

Media Asset Management (MAM/DAM)

  • Support the day-to-day organization and maintenance of media asset management systems, including Iconik and PhotoShelter
  • Assist with media ingest, tagging, metadata entry and archival workflows across photo and video assets
  • Help maintain consistent file naming conventions, folder structures and metadata standards
  • Support asset retrieval requests and content distribution workflows for internal stakeholders
  • Assist in maintaining organized, searchable and accessible media libraries across Federation content

Production Logistics & Photography Operations 

  • Assist with production logistics, including vendor coordination, scheduling support, releases, clearances and production preparation
  • Help coordinate photography assignments, shot lists and coverage schedules
  • Support equipment coordination, file delivery and production organization as needed
  • Assist with freelancer and vendor communication for content productions
  • Support operational workflows tied to content delivery and asset distribution
Requirements


Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in content operations, production coordination, media management or related fields
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in fast-paced environments
  • Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) and/or Media Asset Management (MAM) systems such as Iconik, PhotoShelter or similar platforms
  • Understanding of content production workflows across video, photography and digital media
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • General knowledge of soccer
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and project management tool
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Must be able to connect "micro" details to the "macro" vision and mission
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working within sports, media, entertainment or agency environments
  • Familiarity with video production, photography or post-production workflows
  • Experience supporting project management or production operations
  • Understanding of metadata organization and archival best practices
  • Experience coordinating production logistics or photography operations
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus
  • Understanding of U.S. Soccer and its content ecosystem
