Description

The Manufacturing Engineer supports manufacturing operations, equipment, tooling, and new product introductions through practical engineering and technical problem solving. This role works closely with production, maintenance, tooling, quality, and engineering to develop solutions, improve processes, support projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on manufacturing experience and a structured, data-driven approach to problem solving. This person should be comfortable troubleshooting technical issues, supporting equipment and tooling improvements, creating engineering documentation, coordinating with machine shops and vendors, and communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot manufacturing, equipment, tooling, and quality-related issues and develop practical solutions.

· Support the design, improvement, and implementation of tooling, fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing processes.

· Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability.

· Support new product introductions and engineering projects from concept through implementation.

· Lead or participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities.

· Create engineering drawings, technical documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.

· Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, suppliers, and machine shops to support manufacturing needs.

· Collect and analyze data to support problem solving, process improvements, and technical decision making.

· Present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Participate in design reviews, project reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Provide technical guidance and support to production and maintenance personnel.

Requirements

 · Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

· 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models.

· Proficiency with SolidWorks.

· Experience designing equipment, fixtures, tooling, or machinery.

· Experience working with machine shops, fabricators, and vendors.

· Comfortable working both on the manufacturing floor and in the office.

· Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

· Comfortable presenting technical information to customers, management, and production personnel.

· PLC, controls, robotics, or automation experience is a plus.

· Injection molding experience is a plus.

Salary Description
$75k-$115k DOE
