About the Role

We are seeking an organized, approachable, and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to manage daily HR operations across our facility. In this hands-on role, you will handle core HR functions - ranging from payroll processing and benefits administration to talent acquisition, onboarding, and compliance tracking. Tying together daily administrative accuracy with employee support, you will play a central role in maintaining a positive, compliant, and well-run workplace environment.

  

Key Responsibilities


Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Payroll Execution: Accurately perform routine tasks required to process employee payroll and maintain accurate attendance and compensation records.
  • Benefits & Leave Management: Administer employee benefit programs, enrollment changes, and leave tracking (FMLA, disability, CTO).
  • Recognition & Morale: Support internal employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and culture-building events.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Recruitment & Interviewing: Recruit and screen qualified job applicants for open positions; partner with department managers to understand specific skill needs and hiring priorities.
  • Onboarding & Orientation: Create and deliver engaging onboarding experiences to welcome new hires, educate them on company policies, and guide them through required workplace training.

Compliance, Safety & File Management

  • Training & Certification Tracking: Review, log, and document mandatory safety training, anti-harassment programs, professional licensure, and certifications.
  • Records Integrity: Maintain impeccable physical and digital employee files, ensuring data privacy and compliance with record-retention standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices (federal, state, and local); review internal policies to ensure ongoing compliance.

Employee Relations & General Support

  • Employee Relations Support: Participate as a neutral HR representative in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and exit interviews as needed.
  • Special Projects: Assist HR leadership with special projects, reports, and continuous process improvements.
Requirements

 Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Payroll Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on payroll administration experience required.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong active listening and conflict resolution abilities.
  • System Proficiency:  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to quickly master HRIS software.
  • Organizational Excellence: Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional time management skills, and a proven track record of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive employee situations and confidential data with strict professionalism and discretion.
  • Legal Awareness:  Fundamental understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance principles.

Preferred:

  • Software: Prior experience with Paylocity software is highly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:


Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000
