Description


Reports to: Quality Control Management


Job Summary:

The Quality Control Scientist supports manufacturing by conducting analysis on raw and finished materials and maintains quality control and assurance of products and compliance within internal departments.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None


Duties/Responsibilities:

· Perform testing on incoming materials and finished goods.

· Draft written reports detailing results of testing analysis.

· Approve release of raw materials and finished goods.

· Operate various laboratory equipment.

· Perform peer reviews of laboratory work.

· Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines.

· Ensure compliance with all NADAs/ANADAs.

· Ensure that assigned products meet quality requirements for the customer and the company.

· Audit manufacturing and warehouse departments to ensure cGMP and quality standards.

· Participate in any Research and Development projects as needed.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Thorough understanding of chemical tests and processes

· Understanding and proficiency in basic laboratory techniques

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently and in a team setting

· Ability to multitask and prioritize

· Attention to detail

· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

· Familiarity with SAP Business One preferred


Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s of Science in Biology, Chemistry, or related field

· Two years of related experience, preferably in quality control


Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods standing

· Exposure to various chemicals and compounds

Salary Description
$26 - $31 / Hourly
