Hanley Foundation, a West Palm Beach-based non-profit organization, seeks a resourceful, highly organized, and detail-oriented
Community Liaison. In this role, you will serve as the organization's primary field representative for employer outreach, education, and community engagement initiatives. This position is responsible for expanding relationships with employers throughout Palm Beach County, increasing awareness of addiction and mental health resources, reducing workplace stigma, and growing Hanley's network of community and employer partners. The Community Liaison develops strategic relationships with business leaders, human resources professionals, healthcare partners, and community organizations while delivering engaging educational presentations and training programs. Success in this role requires exceptional communication and public speaking skills, strong business development experience, and an established network within the Palm Beach County business community.

Business Development and Community Outreach:
- Develop and execute proactive outreach strategies to establish new employer and community partnerships.
- Leverage existing professional relationships within the Palm Beach County business community while cultivating new connections.
- Conduct daily outreach activities and consistently achieve established performance goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, business associations, healthcare organizations, and community stakeholders.
Employer Education and Public Speaking:
- Schedule and facilitate educational meetings and training sessions for employers throughout Palm Beach County.
- Deliver engaging, professional presentations on substance use disorders, mental health, recovery, and workplace wellness.
- Educate business leaders and management teams on reducing stigma and supporting employees affected by addiction and mental health challenges.
- Represent the organization with professionalism, credibility, and subject matter expertise.
Community Partnership Development:
- Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for Hanley Foundation's treatment, prevention, and recovery services.
- Educate employers, executives, and Human Resources professionals regarding employer partnership opportunities and specialized treatment services.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless transitions from outreach and education to active organizational partnerships.
CRM And Performance Management
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all outreach activities, contacts, meetings, and partnership development within Salesforce.
- Track outreach metrics, partnership activity, and program outcomes.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all customer relationship management data.
Program Development and Evaluation
- Collaborate with the Director of Community Relations to develop and enhance employer training programs.
- Design and administer pre- and post-training evaluations to measure program effectiveness.
- Collect, analyze, and report outcome data to support continuous program improvement.
Strategic Growth:
Partner with Business Development Officers and organizational leadership to expand outreach efforts to:
- Hospitals
- First responder agencies
- Labor unions
- Municipal organizations
- Large employers
- Community organizations
Identify new opportunities to strengthen Hanley's employer engagement and community presence.
Community Representation
- Represent Hanley Foundation at networking events, community meetings, business functions, and professional conferences.
- Assist with major conferences and industry events, including the Florida Alliance and Florida Public Human Resources Association (FPHRA) conferences.
- Promote the organization's mission and services throughout the community.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily field-based and requires regular travel throughout Palm Beach County. Work is performed in a variety of settings, including employer offices, healthcare facilities, community organizations, conference venues, and Hanley Center locations. The role requires flexibility, independence, and frequent interaction with community leaders, employers, and healthcare professionals.
Education/ Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business development, community outreach, healthcare marketing, employer relations, or outside sales.
- Experience within behavioral healthcare, substance use treatment, mental health, healthcare, or nonprofit organizations preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing community partnerships and delivering professional presentations.
- Established professional network within Palm Beach County is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends, as needed for meetings and community events.
- Applicants in recovery from substance use disorders must have a minimum of one (1) year of uninterrupted recovery consistent with organizational eligibility standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to engage audiences ranging from frontline employees to executive leadership.
- Strong business development, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
- Advanced proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Extensive knowledge of the Palm Beach County business community and employer landscape.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities in a field-based environment.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Passion for advancing the organization's mission and reducing stigma surrounding addiction and mental health.
Travel:
Travel is expected for this position.
- Valid Florida driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required.
- Reliable transportation for frequent travel throughout Palm Beach County required.
