As we open our new Texas plant, we are seeking an Aluminum Processing Supervisor to establish and lead our aluminum processing operations. The Aluminum Processing Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring raw materials are processed safely, accurately, and efficiently to support downstream manufacturing operations. This position will help establish department standards, develop employee capabilities, improve equipment utilization, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support the growth of Fidelity Manufacturing's newest facility.

Job Summary
The Aluminum Processing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily aluminum processing operations, ensuring materials are processed safely, accurately, and efficiently to support fabrication and manufacturing requirements. This position leads department personnel responsible for cutting, processing, staging, and managing raw materials while maintaining quality standards, inventory accuracy, equipment readiness, and production flow.
The ideal candidate will possess strong manufacturing leadership experience, a commitment to operational excellence, and the ability to coordinate people, materials, equipment, and production priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a leader who can drive accountability, develop employees, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
As operations continue to expand, this position will play a key role in building departmental capabilities, establishing best practices, and helping create a world-class manufacturing operation.
Essential Job Functions
Production Leadership & Execution
· Communicate daily production schedules, priorities, and delivery requirements to department personnel.
· Monitor production performance and ensure attainment of throughput, quality, and delivery objectives.
· Assign work and coordinate activities of operators and department personnel.
· Plan personnel, equipment, and material resources to maximize productivity and efficiency.
· Make operational decisions regarding workflow, staffing, production priorities, and resource allocation.
· Monitor schedule performance and proactively identify risks that could impact production commitments.
· Maintain organized work areas and visual management systems to support operational performance.
· Ensure materials and work-in-process inventory are properly staged, identified, and stored.
Team Leadership & Employee Development
· Lead, coach, train, and develop department personnel.
· Establish clear expectations related to safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and workplace conduct.
· Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
· Support onboarding, training, and cross-training initiatives.
· Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
· Recognize employee accomplishments and address performance concerns promptly.
· Build strong working relationships across departments and support collaborative problem solving.

Materials, Inventory & Equipment Management
· Coordinate material ordering, staging, and availability to prevent production interruptions.
· Ensure inventory transactions, material consumption, and movement are accurately recorded within company systems.
· Verify labor reporting and production transactions are completed accurately.
· Ensure operators complete required preventive maintenance inspections and equipment readiness checks.
· Coordinate tooling, consumables, fixtures, gauges, and supplies required for efficient operations.
· Partner with Maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
· Maintain material traceability and ensure scrap is identified, segregated, and documented appropriately.
· Ensure aluminum processing activities are completed accurately according to specifications and production requirements.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
· Ensure materials are processed according to engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements.
· Verify proper use of measuring devices, inspection equipment, and quality verification processes.
· Support first-piece inspections, in-process inspections, and final quality verification activities.
· Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts when quality or production issues occur.
· Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to address nonconformances and prevent recurrence.
· Utilize production and quality data to identify opportunities for improvement.
· Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
· Assist in developing and maintaining standardized work instructions and departmental procedures.
Safety & Compliance
· Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the department.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and safe work practices.
· Train and reinforce proper PPE usage and safe material handling procedures.
· Identify, report, and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors.
· Support safety audits and compliance initiatives as required.
· Maintain housekeeping standards and organized work areas.
· Ensure employees understand and follow applicable work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
· Promote a culture where safety remains a top operational priority.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Minimum 3 years of manufacturing supervisory, lead, or leadership experience.
· Experience in aluminum processing, fabrication, machining, manufacturing, or related industrial operations.
· Experience coordinating people, materials, and equipment in a production environment.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
· Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Experience utilizing ERP systems, production reporting tools, or inventory management systems.
· Ability to effectively coach, train, and develop employees.
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
· Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
Highly Preferred
· Experience operating or supervising aluminum processing equipment such as saws, automated saws, CNC equipment, routers, or material handling systems.
· Experience supporting startup operations, plant expansions, or new facility launches.
· Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
· Experience with inventory control, material traceability, and production planning.
· Experience facilitating root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
· Experience leading teams within fabrication or manufacturing environments.
Preferred
· Technical, vocational, or trade school education related to manufacturing, industrial operations, or engineering technology.
· Experience supporting ISO quality systems and manufacturing compliance requirements.
· Advanced knowledge of production scheduling and manufacturing workflow management.
· Experience using measurement devices, inspection tools, and quality verification techniques.
· Knowledge of maintenance planning and equipment reliability concepts.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a manufacturing, production, and warehouse environment that may include both indoor and outdoor work areas. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, dust, fumes, moving machinery, forklifts, material handling equipment, and uneven walking surfaces.
The position requires regular presence throughout production operations to monitor workflow, support employees, address operational challenges, and ensure compliance with safety and quality expectations. Required PPE must be worn at all times in designated work areas, and all safety procedures and training requirements must be followed.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout manufacturing and warehouse areas.
· Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, and perform physical inspections of work areas and equipment.
· Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to safely operate or work around manufacturing equipment, tools, and machinery.
· Ability to read and interpret measurements using rulers, calipers, measuring devices, and inspection tools.
· Ability to maintain visual acuity to identify quality concerns, safety hazards, and operational issues.
· Ability to communicate effectively in elevated noise environments while wearing required PPE.
· Ability to safely navigate active manufacturing and warehouse environments.
