Pilates Instructor
Description

 Myers Park Country Club is looking for a passionate Pilates Reformer Instructor to lead safe, effective, and engaging Reformer classes and private training sessions. This position will help members improve their strength, flexibility, balance, posture, and overall well-being while creating an exceptional member experience through professional instruction and personalized attention. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness, knowledgeable in Pilates principles and equipment, and possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  

Requirements
  •  Lead group Pilates Reformer classes for members of varying fitness levels, abilities, and experience levels. 
  • Conduct engaging private and semi-private Pilates training sessions tailored to individual member needs and goals. 
  • Develop safe, effective, and progressive workout programs based on Pilates methodology. 
  • Modify exercises to accommodate injuries, physical limitations, and individual fitness levels. 
  • Ensure proper form, alignment, technique, and safe equipment use throughout all sessions. 
  • Create a welcoming, energetic, and positive experience that encourages member participation and engagement. 
  • Build professional relationships with members and guests while providing personalized attention, education, and wellness guidance. 
  • Encourage member progression, retention, and participation in Pilates programming while addressing questions and concerns professionally. 
  • Follow all fitness center and studio safety policies, procedures, and established emergency protocols. 
  • Inspect Reformer equipment and maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment before and after sessions. 
  • Maintain current certifications, complete required documentation and attendance records, and stay informed on industry best practices. 
  • Support program promotions, member events, workshops, and wellness initiatives while communicating scheduling or equipment needs to management and participating in staff meetings and continuing education. 

Qualifications:   

Required 

  • Nationally recognized Pilates Reformer certification from a reputable training organization, such as NPCP through Balanced Body, Stott Pilates, or Peak Pilates. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of Pilates Reformer teaching experience. 
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification. 
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, movement mechanics, and injury prevention. 
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to motivate and inspire individuals of all ages and fitness levels. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to demonstrate Pilates exercises and movements safely. 
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout instructional periods. 
  • Ability to assist members with equipment setup and adjustments. 
  • Ability to work in a physically active environment for extended periods. 

Work Schedule 

  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Primarily weekends and select weekday evenings.
