Summary:
We are seeking a collaborative, people-focused Safety Coordinator to join the Greenacres team. Reporting to the Safety and Security Manager, this role provides administrative, technical, and organizational support to promote a safe workplace and maintain OSHA compliance. Key responsibilities include coordinating employee safety training, maintaining safety documentation, supporting inspections and incident investigations, and assisting with the development and implementation of safety programs, policies, and standard operating procedures. Responsibilities:
Safety Administration
- Maintain OSHA-related records and documentation.
- Assist with regulatory compliance and recordkeeping.
- Organize safety files, inspections, reports, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate annual safety inspections
- Prepare purchase requests and maintain safety equipment inventories.
- Coordinate vendor communications and scheduling.
- Coordinate with local emergency services and first responders.
Training Administration
- Manage employee training assignments through our Learning Management System.
- Track required training and monitor completion status.
- Generate reports for supervisors and management.
- Coordinate classroom training sessions and maintain records.
- Maintain employee certifications and renewal schedules.
Documentation and Program Development
- Assist in developing and revising safety policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Create forms, checklists, inspection documents, and training materials.
- Prepare presentations, and employee safety communications.
- Maintain electronic document libraries and version control.
Compliance Support
- Assist with workplace inspections and audits.
- Help track corrective actions through completion.
- Support OSHA reporting requirements.
- Assist with incident investigations and documentation.
- Maintain confidential employee safety records
- Stay current on safety, and security trends, and best practices.
Administrative Support
- Schedule meetings and maintain department calendars.
- Prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes when needed.
- Coordinate department purchasing and budgeting documentation.
- Answer department inquiries and provide customer service to employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years in a related field is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, SDS, LOTO, equipment operation, and other safety regulations and standards is preferred.
- Previous experience with heavy machinery and farm equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.
- Ability to travel to all Greenacres locations regularly. Currently this includes Indian Hill, OH, Miami Township Clermont County, OH, Lewis Township, OH and Oldenburg, IN.
- May require working outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
