Position Overview:
The Chicago Bulls are seeking an analytical, organized, curious, self-starter to fill our Digital Marketing Associate position for the 2026-27 season. The Digital Marketing Associate will assist and own various paid social (e.g., Instagram ads), email, text, website, and mobile app marketing activities that are critical to driving revenue and fan engagement for the Chicago Bulls.
This role will participate in the Bulls Rookie Program and is scheduled to start in September 2026 and continue until the conclusion of the 26-27 season.
Responsibilities:
You will have a variety of responsibilities that support an established Digital Marketing team and get hands-on exposure to how a sports team drives business results through Digital Marketing. More specifically, you will be responsible for the following:
- Building fan-facing email, SMS and paid social media campaigns across a variety of initiatives, including gameday communications, youth basketball programming, ticket sales, special events, etc.
- Tracking and reporting on paid media performance metrics across key advertising platforms like Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.
- Leading monthly billing and spend reports for paid advertising campaigns and other digital marketing expenditures.
- Conceptualizing and requesting creative assets (graphics, videos, etc.) and writing copy for digital ads, emails, and texts.
- Assisting with on-site and gameday-related marketing initiatives and promotional activations as needed.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a motivated, high-integrity individual with the ability to learn quickly. You could be a match for this role if you possess a strong mix of the following:
- An undergraduate education with a focus on Marketing, Advertising, Business, or similar field
- Interest in learning digital marketing best practices in a fast-paced, hands-on setting
- Strong spreadsheet (e.g., Microsoft Excel) skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
- Understanding of social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) and content trends
- Direct experience with digital marketing tools like Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager
- Creative and strategic thinking with the ability to generate fresh ideas
- Self-starter comfortable taking ownership of tasks
- Team-first mentality who will contribute to our positive culture
- Ability to balance multiple projects at once while working in a highly collaborative workplace
- NBA / Sports fandom
Compensation & Benefits:
This role pays $20/hour and is eligible to earn overtime pay. The Chicago Bulls offer a relocation stipend for any candidates making a move to the state of Illinois. This role requires flexible work hours and may include work outside of normal office hours during the business week and on weekends. Full-time remote work is not an option for this role and interested applicants should be currently located in or prepared to move to the Chicagoland area.
