Description

SUMMARY

Partners with Goodwill business leaders to advance organizational culture, enhance the team member experience, and support all phases of the team member lifecycle in alignment with the organizational effectiveness and business objectives of the Team Member Engagement and First Choice Employer strategies by performing the following duties:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are listed below in order of importance, from most important to least important.


Advises management in matters involving team member relations, performance evaluations, and conduct to ensure appropriate and timely resolution in alignment with quality management principles and organizational objectives.


Conducts due diligence to ensure that corrective action and leaves of absences have evidence-based supporting documentation and are in alignment with internal equity among team members.


Reviews, finalizes, and approves corrective action documentation related to employee performance and conduct issues, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.


Create and/or implement Team Member Engagement activities for the assigned client group that contributes to the advancement of our organizational culture’s First Choice Employer and Team Member Engagement strategies.


Conducts human resources-related training for management and team members as directed.  


Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Effectively utilizes the HRMS to obtain, store, and analyze pertinent data and information. 


Represents the organization at employment related hearings or other regulated activities and responds appropriately and timely to inquiries regarding Goodwill policies, procedures, and programs.


Performs special assignments related to strategic projects, goals & objectives in support of the mission, vision and values of the organization.


Maintains and expands the HR Body of knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management. Identifies and reports trends that could impact organizational objectives and/or operational resources. Efficiently interprets appropriate laws and company policies to advise management and team members appropriately. 


Continuously evaluates to human resources policies and procedures to ensure they meet the needs of the department and the organization and make recommends enhancements as warranted.


Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field and four years' experience administering Regional Human Resources activities; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have demonstrated knowledge of HR employment, employee relations, and performance management laws and regulations including those such as: FLSA, HIPAA, EEOC, ERISA, OSHA, State Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, ADA/ADAA and state and federal wage and hour practices. Knowledge of a variety of HR program best practices. Must demonstrate the ability to gain the respect and confidence of others and perform with the highest level of integrity in all situations.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver's License (Class C), car insurance and reliable automobile. 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly (more than 2/3 of the day) required to sit, talk or hear. The team member frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the day) is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The team member is occasionally (less than 1/3 of the day) required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Regular local travel required to off-site locations to foster positive employee relations and an engaged environment.
