We are seeking experienced Aircraft Components Repair Supervisors to support current and future Training Assistance Field Team (TAFT) programs worldwide.
This position provides an opportunity for an experienced aviation component repair professional to continue serving the aviation community by providing technical expertise, maintenance instruction, component repair supervision, troubleshooting assistance, mentorship, and advisory support to international partner-nation aviation organizations.
Position Summary
The Aircraft Components Repair Supervisor (15K) serves as a senior technical aviation maintenance advisor responsible for providing aircraft component repair instruction, supervision, mentorship, troubleshooting assistance, quality-control guidance, and technical expertise to partner-nation aviation maintenance personnel.
The advisor will provide subject matter expertise in aircraft component inspection, repair, overhaul, troubleshooting, component disassembly and assembly, precision measurement, testing, repair documentation, serviceability determination, and maintenance quality control.
Working directly alongside international military aviation maintenance organizations, the advisor will assist partner-nation personnel in developing safe, effective, and sustainable aircraft component repair capabilities while promoting sound military aviation maintenance practices, technical standards, safety procedures, and quality-control disciplines.
The successful candidate will help develop partner-nation maintenance personnel and organizations capable of independently performing component repair and maintenance operations while improving aircraft availability, component reliability, and overall operational readiness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as an Aircraft Components Repair Supervisor Advisor to FMS partner nations.
- Provide technical supervision, instruction, and mentorship to international aviation maintenance personnel performing aircraft component repair.
- Provide classroom and hands-on instruction covering component inspection, disassembly, troubleshooting, repair, assembly, testing, and return-to-service procedures.
- Supervise and mentor partner-nation component repair personnel in the proper application of approved maintenance procedures.
- Assist maintenance personnel with identifying, troubleshooting, isolating, and correcting component-related discrepancies.
- Provide technical guidance on aircraft component repair, overhaul, inspection, and serviceability requirements.
- Assist with component removal, disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, testing, and installation as applicable to the assigned aircraft.
- Provide instruction on the proper use of technical manuals, component maintenance publications, overhaul procedures, work packages, engineering instructions, and technical data.
- Assist partner-nation personnel in determining component serviceability in accordance with approved technical data and established maintenance procedures.
- Provide instruction on precision measurement, tolerances, clearances, wear limits, and other applicable component inspection requirements.
- Provide guidance on the proper use, care, inspection, calibration, and accountability of specialized component repair tools, equipment, and test equipment.
- Assist in developing and implementing standardized component repair procedures and maintenance practices.
- Provide instruction and mentorship on aircraft forms, component records, maintenance documentation, inspection records, and technical reporting requirements.
- Assist with establishing effective component tracking, documentation, and accountability procedures.
- Advise maintenance leadership on component repair capability, maintenance effectiveness, component readiness, supply issues, and technical concerns.
- Assist in identifying recurring component failures and maintenance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Support maintenance training, qualification, progression, and continuation training requirements.
- Provide instruction on aviation maintenance safety, tool control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, hazardous material procedures, and maintenance risk management.
- Assist with component inspections, maintenance evaluations, quality-control activities, and readiness assessments as directed by program leadership.
- Support troubleshooting and fault isolation of aircraft components and associated systems.
- Mentor component repair technicians, aircraft mechanics, maintenance supervisors, quality-control personnel, and other aviation maintenance personnel.
- Assist partner-nation aviation organizations in establishing standardized component repair, inspection, testing, and quality-control procedures.
- Assist with the development of component repair lesson plans, training materials, presentations, and technical training programs.
- Identify component repair training deficiencies and provide appropriate corrective instruction and remediation.
- Promote aviation safety, maintenance discipline, quality control, technical compliance, and proper component repair practices throughout all advisory activities.
- Support aircraft induction, fielding, acceptance, modification, modernization, and operational sustainment activities as required.
- Conduct training and advisory activities in accordance with applicable military regulations, technical manuals, aviation publications, safety requirements, and program directives.
- Foster strong professional relationships while supporting the objectives of U.S. Government Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Former U.S. Army 15K Aircraft Components Repair Supervisor or equivalent U.S. military aviation component repair professional.
- Documented experience performing, supervising, or managing aircraft component repair and maintenance.
- Experience supervising or mentoring aviation maintenance personnel performing component inspection, repair, overhaul, assembly, and testing.
- Experience with aircraft component disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, reassembly, and testing.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft components, repair procedures, inspection requirements, and applicable technical publications.
- Experience interpreting and applying U.S. military aviation technical manuals, component maintenance publications, maintenance standards, and technical data.
- Experience with component serviceability determinations, tolerances, clearances, wear limits, and inspection criteria.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance forms, component records, inspection procedures, and maintenance documentation.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools and specialized component repair equipment.
- Understanding of military aviation maintenance standards, safety practices, and quality-control procedures.
- Strong leadership, troubleshooting, analytical, instructional, communication, and mentorship abilities.
- Ability to train and mentor international military aviation maintenance personnel with varying levels of technical experience.
- Ability to identify component repair deficiencies and provide effective corrective guidance.
- Ability to work independently while serving as a trusted aviation maintenance advisor.

- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, passport, and visa requirements, as applicable to the assigned program.

- Previous experience supporting Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO) or Training Assistance Field Team (TAFT) programs.
- Previous Foreign Military Sales (FMS) aviation maintenance advisory experience.
- Previous experience supporting international military aviation organizations.
- Significant experience working with U.S. military rotary-wing or fixed-wing aircraft.
- Previous experience as a senior component repair technician, component repair supervisor, technical inspector, quality-control inspector, or aviation maintenance team leader.
- Experience supervising aviation component repair operations.
- Experience with aircraft component overhaul and repair operations.
- Experience with precision measurement and inspection equipment.
