Now hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Maintenance Technician in Middlebury, Vermont. This full-time manufacturing maintenance job is ideal for candidates with experience in industrial equipment repair, preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, conveyors, packaging equipment, production equipment, and food or beverage manufacturing maintenance.


Location & Schedule

Location: Middlebury, VT

Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday-Thursday | 2:00 PM-12:30 AM


Pay: $24.00-$40.00/hour + $2.00/hour shift differential

  Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment, packaging equipment, conveyors, utility systems, and facility equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, and repairs to support manufacturing uptime and reliability
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, motor, drive, sensor, and control-system issues
  • Support PLC troubleshooting, automation equipment, equipment installations, machine upgrades, modifications, and production changeovers
  • Complete maintenance work orders, parts usage records, PM documentation, and equipment repair notes
  • Follow GMP, food safety, lockout/tagout, OSHA, and workplace safety requirements in a food and beverage manufacturing environment
  • Partner with production, packaging, and operations teams to reduce downtime, improve equipment performance, and support continuous improvement

Requirements

 What We Are Looking For

  • Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, production, food, beverage, or similar environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, sensors, drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • PLC experience is desired, especially troubleshooting or programming experience, but candidates with strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills experience preferred.
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
