We are hiring a Day Services Director to direct the regional activities of the Day Services. The Director will provide service coordination to clients who participate in Northern Indiana Day Services and/or Therapeutic Services, as well as oversee quality of services. Must be willing to flex schedule according to client’s needs and meeting schedules.

Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain an environment of organization, support, and a meaningful day for participants.
- Provide vision and leadership for department in planning and implementing community and facility-based, age appropriate activities for participants.
- Assist with the development and expansion of program services.
- Overall staff supervision; determining staffing needs, staff selection, training, performance reviews, disciplinary action
- Provide supervision; determining staffing needs, staff selection, training, performance/incentive reviews, and disciplinary action.
- Conduct regularly scheduled required training (SAT, MANDT, and other departmental trainings) and staff meetings.
- Maintain quality client files by completing required file audits and providing guidance on required documentation.
- Routinely monitor facility programming and make community visits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and program standards.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, CARF standards, Medicaid Waiver, permits and licensing requirements, as well as policies and procedures of BHS.
- Coordinate with community resources in order to provide a variety of quality activities for participants.
- Comply with and implement all protocols related to client health and safety of participants including but not limited to: high risk plans, dining plans, seizure management plans, and personal care schedules.
- Reasonable suspicion of a crime against an ICF/MR resident must be reported to Indiana State Department of Health and Law Enforcement (Elder Justice Act).
- Actively participate in Director and departmental meetings, Management Rally, committee meetings, state association meetings, state sponsored meetings, and other meetings as required.
- Prepare for and participate in both internal and external audits.

Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Driver's License
- Bachelor's degree in human services and one (1) year experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or five (5) years experience
