LIFE CARE PROFESSIONAL – IN-HOME CAREGIVER

 

Position: In-Home Caregiver (Life Care Professional)

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per Hour based on Certifications and Experience

Hours: 6 Hours per Week

Schedule: Monday and Thursday; 9am-12pm

Location: Newcomerstown, OH (and surrounding areas within a 25-30 mile radius)

You’ll use practical skills, good judgment, reliability, and a steady presence to make someone’s day—and sometimes someone’s life—better.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You’ll be trusted to provide professional, hands-on support tailored to each client. Depending on the assignment, you may:
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and daily routines.
  • Support mobility, transfers, positioning, and safety in the home.
  • Provide specialized care for people living with spinal cord injuries, TBI, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and age-related conditions.
  • Prepare meals and help keep the home safe, organized, and comfortable.
  • Provide companionship, encouragement, and a dependable human connection.
  • Use simple smartphone/mobile tools to document care and communicate updates.
  • Work with the care team to identify concerns, solve problems, and provide consistent, high-quality care.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

We’re excited to welcome compassionate caregivers who are ready to grow in the home care field.

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Age 18 or older
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within a 25-30 mile radius
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. independently
  • Comfortable using smartphones/mobile apps
  • Dependable, compassionate caregiver mindset   
  • Additional requirements may vary based on client assignment.

Preferred (not required)

  • Experience in home care, caregiving, healthcare,  or a related hands-on field
  • CNA certification or similar caregiver background
  • Experience supporting veterans
  • Experience supporting veterans
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance when required for a specific client assignment
  • Experience from military service, EMS, security, transportation, coaching, fitness, skilled trades, or other roles involving responsibility, safety, teamwork, and hands-on problem-solving
Salary Description
$15-$23/HR
