Beverage Server – Grave Shift
Position Summary
The Casino Floor Beverage Server is responsible for providing prompt, friendly, and professional beverage service to guests throughout the casino floor. This position plays an important role in creating a positive guest experience by maintaining excellent customer service, monitoring guest needs, and ensuring beverages are served in accordance with all company policies and applicable gaming and alcohol service regulations.
Schedule
This is a grave shift position and is regularly scheduled to work:
- Thursday
- Friday
- Saturday
The Beverage Server may be required to work additional days, shifts, holidays, special events, or other hours as business needs require.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient beverage service to guests on the casino floor.
- Take and accurately fulfill beverage orders in a timely manner.
- Maintain awareness of guests' needs and make regular rounds throughout assigned areas.
- Deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with all company policies and applicable laws.
- Verify identification when required and follow responsible alcohol service procedures.
- Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and promptly notify a supervisor when necessary.
- Handle cash and other payment transactions accurately, when applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned beverage stations, service areas, and workspaces.
- Restock supplies and notify management when inventory or supplies are needed.
- Build positive relationships with guests and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
- Work cooperatively with Casino Operations, Security, Food & Beverage, and other departments.
- Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, and complaints and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, gaming regulations, and appearance standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous beverage, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required gaming license, permits, and alcohol service certifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while remaining attentive to guest and operational needs.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to carry trays and lift and transport beverage supplies as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment.
- Ability to work overnight hours, weekends, holidays, and additional shifts as business needs require.
