American Wheatley, a leading manufacturer of ASME stock and custom hydronic and pressure tanks, is seeking a Production Scheduler to join our team in Broken Arrow, OK.


In this key role, you’ll ensure schedules, resources, and logistics run smoothly from pre-production through final delivery. Acting as the central communication hub between departments, you’ll coordinate timelines, monitor progress, and resolve issues to keep production on track and customers satisfied. What You’ll Do

As a Production Scheduler, you will:

  • Lead by example with a Safety-First mindset in every task
  • Create and manage production schedules to ensure timely product delivery
  • Review production orders in collaboration with Sales to meet deadlines and capacity
  • Maintain and update the visual production schedule to drive order visibility across departments
  • Prepare and release job packets to the production team
  • Distribute job files to facilitate drafting of shop drawings
  • Work closely with shop teams to allocate materials, labor, and resources efficiently
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to reduce downtime and maintain workflow
  • Maintain accurate inventory and production records to balance material availability
  • Communicate with internal teams and management about production status, delays, or issues
  • Foster interdepartmental collaboration to achieve production, quality, and on-time delivery goals
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in production coordination or scheduling within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with production planning software (ERP, MRP, or similar systems)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Business, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in production scheduling or fabrication support
  • Experience using NetSuite ERP
