JOB SUMMARY: The Events Intern will assist the event team with coordination of any events; events can vary between annual events like our Annual Wish Ball, Love For Wishes, as well as individual events and Kids for Wish Kids events. This intern would also be assisting our Community Engagement Department with helping plan some of their events.

Each intern is supported by the Human Resources Manager, who manages the internship experience.

RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assist with all aspects of the above-mentioned events including, but not limited to the following:
- Wish Ball auction: assist with procuring items, completing the item intake process (in-kind donation forms & coordinating the pickup of the items), photographing items, posting items to One Cause and assisting with the auction redemption process.
- Discovery, cultivation and stewardship of event participants and supporters.
- Post events follow up and acknowledgement.
- Provide administrative support for events department.
· Assists in coordinating and planning our annual volunteer recognition event and our community and alumni holiday event
· Supports the planning of 2-3 volunteer mixers throughout the state
· Helps prepare programs and outreach materials for each event
· Coordinates the creation and mailing of a holiday card to be sent to volunteers and wish families
- *DUE TO EVENT SCHEDULING, all interns MUST be available on the following dates: November 17, November 18, October 29, April 2 and April 3*
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent project management, customer service, and communication
- Ability to work quickly and independently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook and Excel.
- Minimum of 15/25-hour work week preferred with potential for weekend hours per event schedule.
- Passion for the Make-A-Wish mission.
