Summary of Position

The Reverse Unit Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the reverse unit, power swivel, pit, and associated equipment during well servicing operations. This role provides technical expertise, assists customers with well-site decisions, and ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Graco and customer requirements. 

Essential Functions

  • Make safe and appropriate decisions while operating the reverse unit in a stand-alone capacity at the wellsite. 
  • Read, understand, and independently implement customer project procedures. 
  • Conduct safety meetings with rig crew ensuring work is done properly and safely
  • Coordinate and ensure movement of the reverse unit and associated equipment.
  • Adhere to all Graco customer policies, safety rules and work requirements.
  • Maintain required knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, and all applicable company, local, state, and federal requirements. 
  • Remain available on a 24-hour basis to respond to customer needs.
  • Perform requirement maintenance on all equipment within assigned control.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and repairs are completed as needed.
  • Participate in required job-related and regulatory training.
  • Calculate pump requirements and determine proper equipment needed for all job types.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the physical constraints of the job. 


Requirements

Skills / Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Strong knowledge of oilfield equipment related to pumping fluids and drilling operations using a power swivel.
  • Ability to calculate displacement, volumes, weights, pipe tallies, and pump requirements.
  • Ability to operate drilling rigs, work-over rigs and snubbing units
  • Knowledge of torque ratings, bit sizes, tubular weights, and truck ratings per local, state, federal and company regulations.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Skilled at maintaining positive working relationships with employees and customers.
  • Extensive knowledge of all safety practices and measures related to job performance.
  • Must have a safe driving record and be willing to submit to and able to pass a pre-employment drug test, MVR check and criminal background check.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Employees must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment, including respirators. Facial hair that prevents a proper respirator seal is not permitted, and employees may be required to shave before beginning work at a Graco or customer job site. 

The role also requires the ability to: 

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend and lift heavy equipment
  • Work in outdoor environments with exposure to heat, cold, wind, and other weather conditions.
  • Operate machines and work around heavy equipment, moving machines, and rig-site hazards.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
  • Travel to rig sites and work irregular hours, including 24-hour availability when not on approved PTO.
