Description

The Trust Investment Specialist provides operational, administrative, investment, and client service support to the Trust Department. Assists Trust Officers with trust account administration, investment analysis, reporting, client communications, regulatory compliance, and department operations. Researches investment products and solutions for client portfolios while ensuring trust operations are performed accurately and in accordance with federal and state regulations.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 


Essential Functions: 

 Account Administration 50%

  • Opens and closes Trust accounts and maintains account files.
  • Manages and distributes account ticklers Prepares investment analysis for trust accounts and reviews with officers
  • Gathers data and compiles investment reports /booklets for Foundation Committee meetings
  • Maintains asset holdings within Investment vendor products (Morningstar, Fi360)
  • Serves as the liaison with FCI (3rd party investment managers)
  • Maintains Investment Policy Statements for client accounts
  • Works with clients via phone, email, in person; answering questions, following up to meetings, etc.  
  • Maintains client account records, authorizations, requests, and follow-up documentation.
  • Prepares documentation required for account opening, closing, and ongoing account maintenance.
  • Prepares quarterly Fi360 reports for Personal Trust and Retirement Plan Services 


Investment Support and Assistance 35%

  • Researches, prepares and reviews client investment changes and recommendations with account officers 
  • Assists with Trust Investment Committee by preparing meeting agenda, minutes and supporting materials alongside the committee chair 
  • Prepares investment analyses for client accounts and reviews findings with Trust Officers.
  • Supports officers with trading functions and portfolio analysis.
  • Researches investment products, portfolio changes, and investment recommendations.
  • Prepares quarterly investment reports for Personal Trust and Retirement Plan Services.
  • Provides research and analysis related to model portfolios and investment strategies for the Trust Investment Committee (TIC).
  • Establishes and maintains assigned clients within financial planning softwareAssists with preparation of documentation required for account opening/closing and file maintenance
  • Establish and maintain assigned clients in financial planning software, assisting clients when appropriate  


Additional Duties and Responsibilities 15%

  • Assists with internal and external audits, examinations, data gathering, and response tracking.
  • Assists with Employee Benefit Plan administration Represents WNB Financial by being involved in community events; attending networking events, to help maintain and develop business for department and bank. 
  • Participates in internal and external training and development opportunities as required
  • Participates in Bank committees as needed
  • Other job related duties necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position

Work Relationships and Scope:

Reports to VP Trust Manager. Works regularly with clients and co-workers. Works regularly with suppliers, vendors, and third-party investment managers. Works regularly with highly confidential business and client information. Occasionally participates in bank committees and community events.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed largely in an office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Regular mental and visual concentration for computer usage required. Regular use of telephone. Frequent repetitive use of keyboard for approximately 6 hours per day; frequent fingering and grasping of papers. Requires ability to receive and provide detailed information through verbal communication. Requires near- and mid-range vision. Will alternate sitting, standing, and walking throughout work shift. Bend, stoop, turn, lift and carry up to 10 pounds in documents and office supplies. Climb stairs. Work is performed generally during regular business hours with minimal expectation of overtime.

Equipment Used:

Operates personal computer in a Windows environment for word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet, and other bank specific software. Utilizes a variety of office equipment including computer printer, ten-key calculator, fax, copy machine, and telephone.
