Summary
Delivers high-quality ski and snowboard lesson experiences for students of all ages in private lessons, prioritizing safety, fun, and learning. Manages daily operations, staffing, and program activities to meet participant needs and support fiscal responsibility. Coordinates with Ski & Ride School management and other departments to ensure efficient area-wide operations. Determines staffing needs, assigns responsibilities, and monitors attendance and performance. Provides ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to support employee development and accountability. Ensures compliance with all Loveland Ski Area, Ski & Ride School, and safety policies and procedures. Demonstrates professionalism, leads by example, and fosters a positive work environment. Evaluates operations and recommends improvements to enhance program effectiveness and guest experience.

Essential Functions
- Collaborates with supervisory peers to balance staffing levels, meet program needs, and achieve financial goals while prioritizing safety, fun, and learning.
- Monitors reservations and staffing requirements to ensure appropriate instructor coverage.
- Communicates program schedules, assignments, procedures, and expectations to instructors.
- Trains, coaches, and supports instructors using Ski & Ride School teaching and operational standards.
- Assists instructors with student concerns and customer service issues to ensure positive guest experiences. Provides training on operational procedures, lift safety, and indoor program activities.
- Delivers ongoing performance coaching, evaluations, and corrective feedback to support instructor development and accountability.
- Recruits, hires, onboards, trains, mentors, and retains high-performing instructors.
- Serves as the primary contact for incidents, guest concerns, and program-related communications within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Oversees operational support functions, including facility readiness, teaching area setup, student check-in, and other program support activities as needed.
- Ensures compliance with all Loveland Ski Area, Ski & Ride School, and safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Promotes a strong safety culture through consistent compliance with and reinforcement of safety training, policies, and procedures.
- Continuously evaluates program operations and implements improvements to enhance employee performance, guest satisfaction, and operational effectiveness.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-years experience working in a PSIA/AASI Member School.
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Current PSIA/AASI Level 1 Certification minimum.
- PSIA/AASI Level 2 or higher is preferred.
- Maintain People, Teaching and Technical skills to demonstrate competency in current PSIA/AASI National Standards.
- Must be able to verbally communicate, demonstrate, and explain concepts clearly to people of all ages.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Training will be provided on Siriusware systems.
- English required additional language(s) are a plus.
- Must be patient and nurturing to students and team members.
- Must be able to ski and/or ride at a technical level adequate for the performance of the job duties. Advanced skiing skills are required.
